89 - 9 bolt or 4th Gen 10bolt
I'm replacing my aluminum drum rear and I have the following options both are about the same price.
1989 9 bolt with 3:45 gears (PBR Calipers) or 1998 & newer 10 bolt probably 3:23 gears.
I wanted the 9 bolt, but after reading plenty of information I'm concerned with the durability and availability of parts for service.
Any advice and experiences with the 9 bolt will be appreciated. Also if there is any way to check the condition of the rear (out of car) The car is been prep for autocross.
Thanks,

It's not a durability problem with the 9 bolt and with minimal searching on google I have found all the parts for mine but they are a bit pricey and don't forget the 4th gen rear is wider so depending on you wheel and tire combo it won't fit
