Gear and trans swap
I have a 91 formula with a 700r4 and 2.73 and I’m swapping in an 85 t-5 and 3.73 700r4 with electric speedo installing t5 with manual speedo what do I need to make the speedo work and can I use anything form the 700r4 like the sensor or shaft gear? Thanks Tyler

You swapped the gauge cluster why would you do all that it is easier to put a sensor in the t-5 and plug it in I just need to put the right driven gear in.

Re: Gear and trans swap
yeah but i didnt spend any money swapping clusters i had it all there already. if i wanted to swap my t5 to an electric set up then i would have to spend more money and well being married i'm on a tight budget. anyway there are a plethera of gear drive calculators out there. and no you can't just put the electric setup in the tail shaft. you would need the entire tail shaft from a electric t5. the drive gears go on different. also why i swapped clusters
