i just finished a motor swap and i put a tci lock up in the trans i went to go test drive the car for the first time and when i put the car into drive and gave it gas the car didnt move an inch

 

If the fluid is good and is full the next step is checking pressure with a gauge.

 

Also make sure the tv cable is adjusted correctly at the carb/efi, and the shifter cable is adjusted properly at the trans linkage.

 

Have you confirmed the lever at the trans is actual in the D position ; not just that the shifter is showing D

 

im having the same exact problem

 

the trans is full, there was no mounting bracket on the carb for the tv cable but we rigged it to work if it to tight would that cause the car to just rev, and the gear selecetors moving i was under the car and had some one go from park to 1

 

WHERE IS THE LEVEL ON THE DIPSTICK AT ? I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM ... MY PUMP FAILED. MY ATF LEVEL WAS EXTREMELY HIGH ON STICK. LOOKED LIKE A MASSIVE OVERFILL. THE PUMP WAS DEAD . ALL THE FLUID WAS IN THE PAN WITH ENG AT OP TEMP. AFTER ATTEMPTED TEST DRIVE.

 

DID U SET THE TV CABLE EXACTLY LIKE THE DIRECTIONS SAY?

 

the fluid was alittle high on the dip stick but the car wasny at opperating temp and the tv cable therea no clip for it on the carb but we rigded it up to work so theres no play at wot
