i changed my transmission fluid and filter yesterday and today all this started, when i **** to reverse it will jerk a little bit but when i go into drive, its jerks hard and feels like it slams into gear and jerks the car and loud noise, then when driving it wont shift out of first until up to around 5000rpms. feels like weak or slipping maybe.
im goin to change my rear end fluid out tomarrow and check that out, heard it could be that or my torque converter as well, and even a sign transmission is going bad, but everything was fine before i changed the fluid and filter and now its giving me this problem
any ideas??

yes. i have 4 1/2 quarts. i drove it all day day and out of town that night then back the next morning with no problems then that afternoon it just happened out of nonwhere and gettin worse real fast so i parked it and going to try and figure it out tomarrow

Did the old o-ring come out with the filter? And did you install a new one? The pump may be sucking some air. Are you checking thre fluid level with the trans hot and in park?

 

i cant say about the old o ring i cant recall. i think it came out and installed a new filter with a new ring

thanks for pointing that out. i found my old filter
in the trash. lucky it wasnt takin just yet and no o ring on it. guess im changin fluid out again lol
