anyone using a ez-tcu with a cable speedo car?

my question is how do you get this to work without having to purchase the tci scu to drive the cable? can I just swap the speedo with a newer dash cluster I have and tap into the harness and make it work with the vss?
I'm thinking the cable speedo still has a vss signal. but unsure.
any input would be appreciated. I have looked into other alternatives and thinking I want to go this way..

Re: anyone using a ez-tcu with a cable speedo car?

just a thaught I am switching to a 96 4l60e I have. it has the same tail housing just the 700r4 is a cable style vss sensor, and the 4l60e has a plug style. can I just swap them out and then tap in to the speed for the vss output for the ez tcu? or will that be a different pulse wave from the 700 to 60e? or could I just swap the rings on the output shafts and then I can retain the same signal from the 700 so I can accomplish this?

ok I ave been doing some more research and I found a thing called a hall effect unit. which retains the use of the cable but has output for the vss. so I can keep my speedo but I need to figure out what ppm the 4l60e puts out.
anyone use this before or here of it ?

no luck finding any info on any of this. but I did come across a good deal on a digital dash so hopefully I can figure something out. was hoping I could find a hall effect speed sensor that had 40 ppr but no luck. I can find a 16 ppr. next thing I need to figure out is what pulse signal goes to the ecm so I don't get any problems.
