89 GTA, 700R4, 100k miles.

going up a long hill on the interstate, i punched the gas and the whole car, especially the dashboard vibrated like crazy. it never did catch the next lowest gear and never accelerated. Tried this 3 times, every time same result. Other than punching it at highway speeds so as to get it to downshift, it runs smooth and great.

Anyone have some experience to relate about this?

 

Just to close this out:

I adjusted the TV Cable by using the acc pedal instead of rotating the throttle arm, no more vibration.
