Please help me with my t-56 clutch.
So I have a t-56 in my car with a keisler bellhousing bolted to an adapter plate. with a 11" clutch.I'd like to try and keep the bellhousing and clutch in it and also run my hydraulic factory pedal assembly and resivior. Has anyone heard of a kit that would allow me to do this?

Keisler purchases a lot of things (and slaps their name on it.)
Is it a mechanical Muncie compatible bellhousing?
Is your driveshaft finalized?
Does your exhaust / headers go down both sides of the engine and transmission?
If yes, yes, and no, your easiest option is to get the Lakewood that
suits 84-92 third gens /
accepts a 168 flywheel & compatible starter /
and accordingly, an 11" clutch.
If yes, yes, yes, you can get a Ram concentric hydraulic throwout bearing that fits the throwout bearing sleeve bolted to the front of the plate.
Frankly, I'd run a 10.5 or 10.75 clutch on a thirdgen flywheel inside an 84-92 bellhousing (or the Lakewood equivalent.) That saves weight and making things A LOT simpler in the future when replacing parts instead of having to go down a laundry list of different parts and vehicles.
You're welcome.

Re: Please help me with my t-56 clutch.
Good advice there. The 11 inch clutches used to be all the rage 20 or 30 years ago, but nowadays, clutch technology has gotten to the point that the 10.5" clutches have roughly the same amount of holding power as an 11" unit. So yeah, going with a 10.5" clutch would make everything go a lot easier for you. And this is no judgment on you personally, but Keisler can suck it! Their prices are friggin outrageous for the stuff they sell! They want like 4 or 5 grand for a TKO conversion. I shopped around for all the parts myself and did my TKO conversion for under 2 grand. Thankyou JMD, it is yes, yes and no. I'm gona look into the bellhousing in a few. I actually found this Novak conversion kit http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/clutch/kit_hcrc.htm. I've been thinking about getting. What do you think of it?. I agree that the 11" clutch is a overkill. But I basically stole the setup I have now and really want to try to keep it the way it is. I bought a 2002 t-56 with 75k on it with a hurst short throw, keisler bellhousing, adapter plate, new flywheel and 11" ram clutch all for 1300.

A lakewood is more and you get more. Scattershield safety and the ability to replace. hydros at thousands upon thousands more parts stores. I value that. YMMV.

Since it is a LS1 T-56, why not use the Quick time rm-6023 bellhousing and GM throwout bearing and slave. That will get rid of using adapter plate and have the safety of a scatter shield

Re: Please help me with my t-56 clutch.
Hey guys. I bought the t-5 lakewood scattershield. Everything is installed. So my setup now is a hays clutch. 11" flywheel. Scattershield, then adapter plate to the t-56. I used the t-5 clutch fork. My clutch still won't engage.... It has the factory master slave and factory lower slave. I have a steel braided line and an4 fittings connecting both. I bled it both by gravity and after that didn't work I tried pump bleeding it too. What am I doing wrong? I put different length push rods in the slave and it seemed like it wants to engage more but I thought that this bellhousing make it work fine with just the factory push rod. Sorry if I seem to be rambling I've been screwing with this thing all morning and have spent way too much money to have to jimmy rig this still. Any info appreciated
