Wheel spacers wont sit centered on new axle

Video included. I have brand new 10 factory 28 spline axle shafts with new studs pressed in. New outer bearings and seals pressed in as well. The rotor spins true and it slides over the hub smoothly. The wheel spacers just wont sit centered in the middle. They are lug-centric wheel spacers. It makes the wheel have a nice up and down movement and makes for a bumpy ride. This occurs for both sides of the axle with both spacers that i have. Not sure if i have bad spacers

Lug centric can be very dangerous no matter how many people on the internet claim it works just fine.

You have a hub. Use it. Get hub-centric parts.

It's not like the savings by using cheap crap lug-centric parts (that aren't) is anywhere near the cost of a wheel, quarter panel, or other major repair that can come from this.

Re: Wheel spacers wont sit centered on new axle

i cant see the video on my phone any pics ? ..but where did you buy spacer is it a slip on spacer or wheel adapter "bolt on"... size.. what wheels ..

Arent the oem wheels lug centric last time i check ?

From what ive been reading is that lug centric puts more stress on studs and can damage them and or bend them supposedly..now i dont know how much truth to that is on properly torque wheel which alot of people over look even properly inflating tires etc
Basically any wheel that isnt hub centric factory or aftermarket are usally lug centric so its very important to Torque the lugs properly also.. not with wheels on the ground either.. The cone style lugs also helps center the wheel ..so for the part of lugcentric being dangerous idk about that as im sure there a thousands of cars running that with no issues

same goes for bolt on wheel adapter as long there properly torque

But i dont know any spacer/wheel adpaters that advertise the products to be lugcentric im sure there are that do but ive never seen that as of yet ..the main things are hub and wheel centric

Hub centric helps center the spacer on the hub i would also suggest wheel centric to so wheels can be centered on spacer ..

issues with hubcetric is that depending on design there with be clearance issues on front hub on most ebay ones ive seen so you would have to open it up

you can either use ebay ones or spend extra on custom ones that fit like a glove ..ive had both but like the fitment and ride with custom ones ive got and the added saftey... no complaints ..but thats entirely up to you and i people have run non hub and wheel centric adapters with no issues

Sounds like crappy sspacer/adapters to me. Lug or hub centric once the studs are tight they should center up. Factory wheels are hub and kug centric
