Bearing?
Hey guys I have some questions,, my completely stock third gen 84 z28 makes noise almost like a cricket . I believe is my throw out bearing . At all times when the car is on the noise is there without touching the clutch pedal, but as soon as I put pressure on the pedal it stops. The rmps can be at idle or at highway speed and the noise is there. I just want to make sure which bearing it is . I plan to fix the problem myself I would appreciate some pointers, advise, and suggestions. How long would it take and how complicated could it be?? Thanks

Re: Bearing?
its your throw out bearing and if you have the mechanical linkage you need to find a way to load the fork pressure so it will stop. if tour system is hyd (being 84 I doubt it) you need to bleed the system a time or few.
never had the issue on my 83 T/A but have had this issue on my 89 FORMULA.
