Early Shifting/TV Issue?

Working on my newly purchased 84Z 350 w/700R4 trans, when I take off quick going full throttle, the car shifts smooth but goes from 1-2 at 3600 RMPS, then from 2-3 at 2600RMPS, not ideal for 0-60 time.... I'm going to reset the TV Cable this afternoon, hoping that will help but curious as to what other folks have experienced. Transmission is great, not issues at all, just isn't very fast as is, not really taking advantage of the power available. I don't want to make anything worse, from what I've read, you just reset the TV adjustment and rotate the throttle to WOT and it sets itself. Is there anything else I should check or look for?

Thanks,

Joe

a shift kit and 3.42 gears on a eaton posi should cure that for you nicely

Re: Early Shifting/TV Issue?

Reset the tv, helped a great deal...... May look into a torque converter and new rear end at some point.....that will be further down the line though unless something falls into my lap
