700r4 tranny leak
Hi guy's,
I just bought an 89 rs and I ended up putting 3 quarts of tranny fluid in and didn't even drive 2 miles and stopped at gas station and seen a huge pile of tranny fluid on the ground and it was pouring out and the location of the loss fluid is in the center of the car, nit back by the pumpkin.what could this be?bad seal?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 700r4 tranny leak
When I bought my '91 Firebird I noted something similar. This was after finding my #6 spark plug wire disconnected and my valve covers not torqued to spec. So I checked the torque of the bolts on my trans pan and found most of them were hand tight. After tightening them properly haven't had a leak since. Hope yours is as simple as this. Good luck.
