ok i have never really done any work when it comes to a rear end before so im a little lost when it comes to them. i just got my new 12 bolt with 33 spline axles, truetrac, aluminum girdle cover, 3.73 gears and all other standard parts and mounts to bolt it into my iroc. i will be using LS1 rear brakes so i still need to get the backing plates and stuff like that but they sent the rear with the axles and bearings seperate.....shouldnt they have pressed the bearings onto the axles for me? the axle goes in and then the backing plate goes over the bearing and holds it all in place correct? sorry for the stupid question i would have called moser but they were already closed by the time i received the rear and and checked it all out today. thanks for the help in advance.

 

one of my friends is still making an *** out of me for this because i was thinking the backing plate was open on one side kind of like a letter c , i didnt realize that its closed completely
