manual torque converter locking question about wiring

Engine: carb'd lg4 305
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.08's sonn to be 3.73's
manual torque converter locking question about wiring

so ive already searched and no one has asked this question, my torque converter has been locking at random points like at 10 mph today, so i want to wire in a manual switch and istill have my stock ecm so can i just do this and will it work the same as all the other ways of wiring one https://www.thirdgen.org/torqueswitch

You can but it won't help your problem if the ECM is locking the convertor now at too low a speed now.
All a switch wired that way does is ADD a manual option , does not bypass the existing ECM control

Instead of shadetreeing the problem, I would be investigating why ?
I would start by checking the tan / blk wire from the trans to the ECM ;if that randomly shorts to ground somewhere it will engage the lockup the same way your new switch would.

K so i was looking at the transmission and theres that wire harness with 2 wires comin out can i just cat those and run those wires to a switch

There should be 3 wires at the TCC plug
What colors are the wires you have ?

my bad i didnt jack it up on jackstands before, i do have three wires theres orange green and purple

can i just have pin b and pin d always grounded and then pin a connected to a 12v source. can i put a toggle switch on pin and just flip the switch on when i want to engage the torque converter
