I need a bracket for my kickdown cable. The cable sticks almost an inch and a half in front of the carburetor. Any ideas?

 

Any ideas would depend on what carb you have, what attachment studs you bought (or didn't) for it, what cable you have, and what bracket you have.

 

I have an edelbrock 600cfm carb on an edelbrock performer 2101 intake. The cable is just laying there, Not attached to anything.

 

I have same setup. My throttle cable and kickdown cable share the same bracket. Does your bracket only have a throttle cable mount and no provision for trans cable?

I'd take a picture of mine but from my phone I can't upload any. It looks as though theres only a throttle mount bracket on the carb.

 

top cable is throttle and bottom one is transmission in both pics. I modified my kickdown cable as you can see to shorten it. The red zip tie was to adjust the length for fine tuning. I still need to do it right but its how i did it and it works. The bracket was off a 85 chevy truck.
