T56 pulse per mile?
Could someone tell me what the number of pulses per mile for a 97 LT1 style, T56 trans might be?
I thought it was 4000 , but I can't seem to find where I got that number.
Thanks

Re: T56 pulse per mile?
Yes, you can.
Tire revolutions per mile (look it up on the tire mfgr. website) * gear ratio (4.11) * reluctor tooth count (17 on 94-up GM T56) = your answer.
All third gens had speedo gears selected to match 1001 speedo cable rotations per mile. Some have a 4 pulse / revolution VSS, giving 4004. Others, 2 / 2002.
