bellhousing help
Ok everyone i have been a memeber here for a few years now and yall have never let me down before. So i hope i can be forgiven for asking a question that doesnt relate directly to a third gen. I tried joining the right forum and i was shunned!
If i take a 4l60e off of a 4 cyl from 98 2.2lt and a 4l60e from a 2000 3.?lt v6, all i have to do is swap bellhousings and the transmission from the v6 should go on my 4 cyl right? In short terms areall 4l60e trannysbasicallythe same on the outside?
Anyhelp would be great but if nobody wants to humor this question i will understand.

Re: bellhousing help
The bell housing is not a detachable part on the 700.
Gotta get the right trans, with the right case, that has the right bolt pattern, to fit whatever engine.
Don't know what a "lt" is; but, long story short, if the 2.2 one has any bolt pattern other than the 60° V6 one, then no, it won't work.
