TCC lockup question
I am converting my ecm to the Holley commander and it doesn't support the lockup function. Which after market lockup kit would be better?
The TCI vacuum one or the B&M Speedo one

Re: TCC lockup question
my
,
I prefer the vacuum system because they, "They allow automatic operation of the TCC in 4th gear under stable engine operation, and disengage the clutch when accelerating or downshifting".
I've always used stock GM parts, but the GM stuff is designed to work the same as the TCI system. ( As a 'bonus',... TCI allows for manual toggle operation as well. ) The GM non computer TCC set-up was used in export ThirdGens and many vans in the mid eighties.
Just can't see paying the the extra expense of the B&M system when the vacuum controled system has worked so well for me in the past.

Re: TCC lockup question
The TCI is going to be a little more factory in operation like John stated.
But, the B&M isn't objectionable in operation; I've driven a few.
