Is there an upgrade for the t-5 that's a direct fit or close to it?
Apologies in advance, I'm still kind of new to forums. I tried searching but nothing came up.
I'm new to working on cars. I got myself a '92 with a manual trans. I eventually want to throw a 350 crate motor in and it seems the general consensus is that the stock t-5 can't really handle too much power.
So basically my question is, is there a manual transmission that can handle a good amount of power that doesn't require a ton of modifications? Does one exist where I can basically yank the t-5 out and put the new one in?

Start looking around here for T-56 swaps. they will be able to handle the power of a crate 350 and there are a lot of threads on doing just that.

Your gonna need the 93-97 t56. The 98-02 (LS) t56 will fit also but you will need an adapter plate so I guess that's not a direct fit, but it is an option. Especially if you find one that's already built up

If you want to keep the 5 speed there is also the option of putting in one of American Powertrain's T-5's. They are, to say the least, strong. But that's a little pricier.

You could install a G force or astro racing T5. How much HP are you pushing? Are you going to be taking it to the track? There are many members who have T5s behind 350-400hp 350s that have lasted a long time but most of them are street only.

There's also the TKO500 and TKO600.
