Im swapping my th 200c this year. Will a 200 r4 be a direct replacement like the th350?

 

I bought a 2004r years ago to do the same swap, i need to start it soon. No it wont swap it Exactly like a th350. the lower mount is is a different position than the 200c, and of the course no mount for the torque arm, but the rest should be nearly identical hookups and measurement wise, i believe you can reuse your driveshaft aswell.

 

my biggest concern was the driveshaft. So I guess you have to drill and tap for the torque arm mounts?

 

Driveshaft is the same yoke and length.
TV cable is compatible with the 200-4R.

Get an aftermarket crossmember for TH400 in 82 F-body that mounts the torque arm away from the trans.; same mount position as the 200-4R. The crossmember mounts in the floor of an 82 are a little different than later years so don't assume one for a later year will work; do your research.
