700r4 Shifters? I'm becoming desperate!

I really don't like posting questions on the forum much, you guys are all very helpful and I can normally find the answer to all my questions by searching the huge archive. Things have changed, 700r4 shifter options...

Seems I have 3 choices. MegaShifter (I have had one before, can't stand them), a $500 Hurst Dual Gate that is out of production, or a Hurst Quarter Stick for a 700r4 that is also out of production. Quarter stick seems to be what I want, but there just are not any around for the 700r4. Dual gate amazing! But $500!?!

Anyone know of any other options?

The "Dual Gate" is a pile of dung.

It's the same thing as the old "his & hers" shifters from the late 60s GTOs and 442s and such, they just re-named it for going in a retail box. Been shifting one or even 2 gears too many (into N or even R) unexpectedly for 40-some-odd years already, and the ones that are left, are still doing it.

What didn't you like about the B&M? What are you looking for? (details, not just, "shifter") What is the car used for?

I would rather just stay stock than install another B&M megashitter. Just doesn't do it for me.

My stock shifter ball falls sometimes and I occassionally overshift. Quarter Stick or Pro Stick looks like what I need, just can't find one!

Another option is a b&m shift gate. This turns a stock shifter into a gated shifter and works great, I have one in my 86. The only problem you may have is that they are out of production but they show up on ebay from time to time. The cost was right about $20 iirc.

Works for me ; no more hitting N when manually shifting at the track
