700r4 removal and t56 install
Hello im in the middle of the swap and need to change oil pan gasket and new motor mounts.
Will the t56 bolted to motor go back in the car with any issues. I plan on just taking out motor and 700r4 together and just bring the other set up in.
Or should I just unbolt and pull and install motor by it self. I figure it will good time to clean up engine bay

id say if you have the room and the hoist, its probably easier to bolt it all up out of the car. I dropped a motor in with a T5 from the top, and then a few months later did the the T56 swap- it would have been much easier to wrestle the tranny in place not under the car. Just realize most hoists i have used wont reach the engine unless they are fully extended, and then depending on the rating of the hoist you might blow some seals.
SO long story short, if you have enough room under the car/ over the car and your hoist can reach and has the capacity its easier to snake the whole assembly in, otherwise its not terrible doing it all on your back..
