TH350 reverse manual valve body?

Hello,

I picked up a TH350 for my track car. It's got a manual valve body, and a transbrake. The seller said he thought it was a reverse valve body. (but he couldn't remember).

Any way of telling before I install the transmission?

I'm sure I can put it on the lift and run it under throttle in each gear and watch the speedo, but I'd like to configure my shifter before I test run it if possible?

There's no way to tell if you have a forward or reverse pattern valve body without some way to run it up. You need oil pressure in the hydraulic circuits. Install it in a car or find someone with a transmission dyno.

There are very, very few TH transbrake valve bodies in the forward pattern so assume it will be PRN123

Hrmm. It's got a hughes transbrake, so I'd assume they just used a huges valve body. I wonder if their is a part number cast into the body.

I'm trying to figure out if I can use my Hurst Quarter Stick shifter with the reverse valve body. I'm thinking no.

Trans came with a SFI bell housing. It's old though so probably needs recert, but I think it's only required 10.99 or faster.
