Re: tv cable adj. help
Try this and see if it works for you:
I'm going to assume the factory cable adjuster is still present on the cable bracket. If the factory adjuster isn't there, just skip Step 2. At Step 6, the fine adjustment will have to be done using the slider instead of at the adjuster.
1. Loosen the cable slider at the throttle body.
2. Adjust the factory cable adjuster to the approximate middle of the adjustment range. This will allow for fine adjustment in Step 6.
3. Fully open the throttle. If you don't have a helper, shove a screwdriver or something similar into the throttle body to hold the blades open.
4. Holding the throttle fully open, gently pull the cable until it stops. Don't force it any further.
5. Holding the cable where it stops in Step 4, move the slider against its attachment point and tighten the slider.
6. Test drive. Adjust the cable using the adjuster at the cable bracket no more than a few clicks forward/backward to fine tune your shift points.

Re: tv cable adj. help
The info in the link tells you how the system works.
Using that education, you can figure out, if it's even possible, how to get that alternate-ethnic-engineered mess you have on there, to work right.
I'd STRONGLY recommend, based on the cost of repairing a transmission that has been destroyed by improper operation of that system, that you get a new, fully functional, unmodified, un-hack-job cable, and put your car together RIGHT, since otherwise you are at great risk of needing some VERY EXPENSIVE transmission work.

Here's a link to the cable part numbers. The part numbers GM part numbers:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...-tv-cable.html
I don't know if the cable is still available from GM. Also, there have been reports that some of the non-GM (aftermarket) cables that are available have fit/length issues.
