Transmission problem. Please help!!

Today when I shifted my car into reverse and gave it some gas, the whole car shook hard. Afterwards I noticed that something sounded louder under the car. I know it would most likely be more towards the exhaust but could it be something from the tranny causing it?

-Thanks in advance

Did you fix your issue, was it exhaust?

I posted this in an exhaust thread and they say that it could be a mount but it still sounds like an exhaust problem to me. Like a hole or break in the pipe somewhere I can't see. And I'm pretty sure I would be able to feel it if it was a mount right? Because the tranny would shake when the gears shift

Cause and effect. When you reverse it tries to lift the rear of the trans. if the mount broke, the trans can lift enough to hit the floor in severe cases. with all that movement it can stress the exhaust enough to break.

Na it doesn't hit the floor at all when I reverse or do I feel it at all trying to. It feels just like it did before this even happened

In severe Cases.... Have you verified the mount is good or bad? Have you verified if you have an exhaust leak or not?

Well not really verified but I got a teacher of mine with 20+ years of experience to listen and look at it and as soon as he looked at it he said exhaust
