T5 to T10 swap

I have searched, pm'd and emailed a few people on the threads I've found regarding whether or not a stock 3rd gen master will work with a Howe hydraulic throw out bearing. Haven't heard back from either. Has anyone done this? Thanks for any help!

no, quit it, and put it back as it was intended to be. unless youre one of those insane fabricator guys. that cant leave well enough alone.

Sorry, we have to do something. It's a Chumpcar Camaro and we've gone through two freshly built T5's. Worst transmission ever.
Bought a Tex super T10 and a used bellhousing for it and the existing slave can't be used without a bunch of hacking and welding.
I guess my real question is: What size bore is the stock 3rd gen master? I've read it's 3/4's but not sure about the reliability of the source. If it will work, it doesn't seem that it would be hard to run a 3an from it to the Howe part. Hmmmmmm...

Got the conversion done and raced a 14 hour enduro at Sebring this past weekend. Some of it anyway...This is what my conversion consisted of:
T 10 bellhousing- Found a blowproof used for $100
Added a Howe throw out bearing for $139
Kept master but removed slave and used a compression fitting to 3an line for Howe part
Spohn crossmember and Torque arm for around $500
Oh yeah, rebuilt Tex Racing Super T 10 with shifter $1000
Instead of buying a yoke for driveshaft, found an aluminum Quartermaster drive shaft with the yoke I needed for $200
U Joint for rear because of driveshaft change $35
Wasn't a big deal except engine is moved back in car so I had to use 1/8" washers between bellhousing and tranny. Also had to grind rear yoke some to accomodate new u joint. Gonna be a pain in the *** to remove driveshaft now so I would recommend keeping stock drive shaft!

excuse me, but you used washers WHERE!!!
