Park/lock control cable help
Ok this is the situation I'm swapping from a manual transmission to a automatic and I need help with the park/lock control cable that goes from the auto shifter assembly to the steering column on a automatic. My question is how would I run the cable on a car that was a manual car. Would I have to swap steering columns or run a aftermarket cable? If anyone has done this before I would greatly appreciate any help.

Re: Park/lock control cable help
I'm doing the same swap, With the manual column the lock cable isn't needed. Just throw it to the side and move on......

Re: Park/lock control cable help
Even with the Megashifter I installed last year the instructions had you fix that cable in a permanent spot and leave it disconnected. Be mindful that you can start the car in any gear after that :O
