will the engine turn over if I disconnect the torque convertor from driveplate?

Hello. Trying to eliminate some potential issues. Would the engine still start if I disconnect the torque convertor from the driveplate? Or will the ECU notice and prevent the car from starting?

Sorry if this is a stupid question!!

Thanks

Jay

The engine will start, expect it to rev more quickly without the weight of the TC.

Be sure to push the TC back into the trans far enough that it doesn't catch on the flexplate.
