driveshaft question V6 700R4
Hey guys I want to do an aluminum driveshaft on my 90 3.1 v6 firebird. I hear all 84-02 drive shafts are interchangeable so would an ls1 driveshaft bolt up to my 700R4? What's my cheapist option?

Just curious by why do you want the aluminum driveshaft? The weight difference is very minimal.
Pontiac GTA's and some other camaros had the alum. d shaft. I would look though the classifieds for one or put up a wanted add for a low price used one. Or just check J yards.

Done some research on them and the weight difference is pretty big since it is a moving part and if I can get it cheap enough it is worth it to me I am looking to get as much power as I can out of my lil v6 and this seems like a big help.

I have seen a smaller diameter aluminium drive shaft. If you are able to find one, it may be more appropriate for the V6. (Ie. possibly less weight and less inertia due to smaller diameter.)

No, sorry I don't recall off hand. There should be a thread on here with the different drive shafts. Thought I saw one a while back.
