Servo removal
My 89 has the exact problems the Transgo Jr is suppose to correct, so I bought the kit and a Corvette servo, but after getting the car up in the air, I could immediately see that the servo wasn't going to clear the body without lowering or removing the transmission.
I'm just wondering if the back of transmission will drop enough to remove the servo after removing the mount and drive shaft? I need to drop the shaft anyway because the rear seal is leaking and I bought the seal & sleeve bearing kit.
I'll drop the entire transmission if needed, but don't want the extra work if it's not necessary.
Thanks!

Re: Servo removal
No need to drop the trans, driveshaft or such. Remove the crossmember and lower the rear of the trans some. It is a tight fit to the tunnel but there is enough room. I used a small plank of wood to protect the tunnel while prying on the cover.

And remember to keep a good eye on your distributor as you lower the back of the transmission down . The amazingly small distance between the distributor and the firewall won't let ya lower it much before the distributor hits the firewall . Especially if you have the large cap HEI ...
