The higher the stall the smaller the dia. size in most cases with torque converters. As long as it fits your 700r4 it does not matter if it's 9" or 13" dia. if it's the stall speed you need.

Alright thanks for the reply. Says its a reman with 22-2500 stall. Im installing a 5.3l have a rebuilt 700r4 in it and just wanna get it up to the power range quicker but keep it d/d. And also on a budget

Re: Inch size of 88 camaro 700r4 torque converter??

Most low stall converters (under 2800 rpm) can work fine in a stock 12-13" body. If you need more stall speed, a 10" is most common. My 6000 rpm stall converter is in an 8" body.

Required stall speed completely depends on the cam grind for best performance. Too high a stall can be just as bad as too low.
