Aftermarket VSS?
I thought I had a fix to my VSS sensor behind the speedometer connecting to a 97 blazer overhead console, but I'm soon to be swapping in gauges and deleting the old setup (no more VSS) my trans is a th350 so it's all mechanical. Would I have to run the adapter in the trans that allows the speedometer cable to still connect but has the wire that comes off for an aftermarket VSS? Anybody have a link to something that will work? I have to match the PPM of the blazer (which I cannot find to save my life either a 2000 or a 4000 it's a 97 4x4 4l60) any help will work I'm at a standstill till I get this problem figured out.

Yes the cable drive with VSS is an option.
Have you reviewed wiring or svc. manuals for the blazed?

Wiring is gone, because that VSS was on transmission I sold. I guess I could try an online manual, but I'm not sure it'd have that information

Re: Aftermarket VSS?
It would tell you if it goes from VSS to PCM or to DRAC or . . .
It is going to go through one of those because the reluctor is 40 tooth and the signal would need reduced / ratio adapted.

I believe it goes through the PCM too, but would this mean I have to do a complete PCM swap?? That's pointless on a completely mechanical car

Realistically, you already got an answer to that question in a prior thread. Not enough reading leads to not enough answers.
