Stupid Plastic plunger on a stock shifter
89 Forumula 350 stock.
So the stupid little plastic plunger finally broke for good. Is there any trick way of replacing that thing?
While I'm asking anyone have a good way to remove the shifter cable without breaking the cable end, the one connected to the button.
I drilled a hole and tapped a small screw into the top what was left of it... It would not pull out.
A whole new shifter isn't that expensive ... I was just hoping to save time

You mean the white plastic beaded rod that goes down the center of the shifter shaft? It just pulls right out. If it's not effed up, it'd fall out by gravity with the shifter unbolted from the car and the **** removed.
If you mean the button itself on the **** broke, you need a new ****.
