28 spline axle in 26 housing

Going to install 28 spline carrier, but will 28 spline axle fit into axle bearing of a 26 spline housing? My thought is moser axle"s and eaton 28 spline carrier.

All of the 7.5, 8.2 Chevy, 8.5 and 12 bolt Chevy car rear ends use the same axle bearing and seal for 26, 28, 30 and 33 spline axles except the full size car.

I installed 28 Spline Moser axles in my 84 to replace the factory 26 spline when I installed a Zexel Torsen diff. Went right in with no issues.

The 26 & 28 spline axles are the same diameter at the bearing race, which is the only interface between the housing & the axles. They interchangeable as far as the housing goes.
