can you convert a 4l60e to a 4l60
Hey guys, so i have a 700r4 that needs rebuilt. 2 problems, moneys tight and its my dd so i need a 1 for 1 swap. A cheap rebuildabke 700r4 is hard to find around here for a decent price but i know a guy with a 96' caprice with a 4l60e that he's about to swap out. I can rebuild it but my question s can a 4l60e be made to work like a 700r without getting a computer for it? I hope yall understand what im askin and can help. Thanks

Well than would it be worth getting it cheap, rebuilding it and then finding a way to run it or more cost effective to just find a rebuildable 700r4 and keep it simple

The stand along controller for the 4L60E is around $500 for just the computer/controller
