shifting into 3rd after rebuild

shifting into 3rd after rebuild

had transmission rebuilt by a professional.grinds going into third,it does it for a period of time,then goes away,but comes back again. its been back twice,and they have no idea why.any suggestions?at a total loss!!

If this is a manual transmission, .... ,,, ...

Change the pilot bearing / bushing.

thank you and I will give it a try.do you recommend the bearing over bushing?

Personally I prefer the bearing, but there's nothing at all wrong with the bushing. In fact some people prefer it, not least because it's easier to get back out when you have to replace it.
