T10 questions
I'm pretty sure my '82 Camaro has an original T10 transmission. Anybody know the number of splines on the input shaft? 10 or 26?
Also less important, what are the gear ratios? The one time I took it drag racing, it went through the traps in 4th gear with the shift light on, 101 on the timeslip. Has 3.73 rear end gears.

Re: T10 questions
Pretty sure the clutch gear (no "input shaft" on a manual trans) had 26 splines on those.
1st was 2.64 or thereabouts in those if memory serves. 4th of course was 1:1, same as any other 4-speed. That would put 3rd about 1.38 and 2nd about 1.91, roughly.

26 spline clutch splines.

wide 3.42 with the LG4, closer 2.88 first with the LU5 (same as the 84-88 Vette)

Re: T10 questions
No LU5 / T-10 F-cars ever got built for the general public. Thus ALL the '82 T-10s were 3.42 / 2.28 / 1.46 / 1.00 with a 2.73:1 axle, behind the LG4. '83 was T5.
1.125" 26-spline input.
2.64 was in the '75-'79 Z28, '80-'81 were all the 3.42:1 first. '80 was a 350 with 3.08:1 axle, '81 was LG4 with a 3.42:1 axle.
