Rear RPO Codes....again please
Rear RPO Codes....again please
Hey guys I know I just asked this but when the boards went down my link that that I saved for this post before went bye bye too. So any way. Any one know the RPO codes for a 3:42 and 3:73 Rear and The RPO code for the Posi unit? Also if the RPO codes are gone from the donor car is there another way to figure out whut the gear ratio is, besides pulling the cover plate off and counting the teef? Thanks alot.......again

GU6 is for 3.42's, and GT4 is for 3.73's. Posi is G80. One way to figure out the ratio is to disconnect the driveshaft, then spin the wheels. Count how many times the yoke (on the differential, where the driveshaft was) turns when you turn the wheels once. If it turns about 3 and a half times, thats a 3.42 rear end, etc.
