My car has a t-5 but something is grinding inside , runs but I feel like soon it will fail on me . I looked on Craigslist for one for sale and I came across this post where the guy is sailing one for 600 he says is a liberty t-5 with GeForce gears please someone explain what does that mean . Also i know that mustangs and jeeps have t 5 s but do they work on my 3rd gen? Because I contacted the guy and asked him on what that was running on if it was a mustang it Camaro or what and he said on a race car with Mitsubishi motor????? I mean if is a good deal and works on my t/a I don't want to pass it but I wanna make sure it fits on my car. Here's the link of the transmission please someone help me understand a little more. Thanks

Re: Need help with a t-5
Pass.
The case has a different bolt pattern up front.
The extension housing has a more forward shifter position.
The output is probably 28 spline Ford instead of 27 spline GM.
There's no where to bolt up your torque arm.
Unless you can verify it's a 24 tooth input, there's no 26 spline input shaft to convert to work with your clutch, even if you were planning on re-casing the whole thing.
There's literally nothing bolt-in about that trans. for your car.

Is there any difference with a WC t5 for a v6 Camaro? Is compatible with mine . Found this on eBay

Re: Need help with a t-5
The input is a half inch too long.
The case is again, Ford pattern.
The ratios are 3.75 first gear; far from ideal for an LG4 or L69.
It has a 7 tooth speedometer gear in one picture, but the tailhousing has a VSS compatible with a reluctor wheel. And the "auction" was for multiple units, so you don't know what you're getting.

Summary: If your driveshaft had some forgiveness, you might adapter plate your way into using that one and the ratios would annoy you every time you drove it.
