Reset TV cable ?

Hey guys!
I found that I've been running my timing to high for my liking, which was at 18 degrees advance.
I've dropped it down to 14 degrees now. So my question is would I have to reset my TV cable?

Re: Reset TV cable ?

The TV cable is to be set one way and that is tight at WOT. If the shifts are too late, you can back off on click (no more than a 1/16th of an inch play in the TV cable at WOT). The timing will make the shifts themselves feel a little different. At part throttle with the timing set correctly, the shifts should be fairly smooth and acceleration consistent, not where it is pulling the motor out of its torque range. To little timing and it will appear to fall flat (little to no acceleration) on the shift, just as a shift being to quick (1-2 shift) will do.

Re: Reset TV cable ?

Okay!
The reason I'm asking is I took the car for a spin, in overdrive. And when I hit just over 2 grand it was acting like it didn't want to shift under normal acceleration. If I kept it under
2 grand it seemed to shift though.
