tc lock up questions
I know that this question is asked a lot but I have a couple more I haven't seen yet.
1. when wiring into the a and f portals. do I have one portal go to the positve on the switch and one go to the negative? I thought I better ask before i fried something?
2. Do I just flip the switch off at the begining of the race, and leave it off.
3. would it hurt the tranny if I flipped the switch back on while driving, even at low speeds?
sorry for my ignorance

1. Switches don't have a positive and a negative.
2. Most people seem to say that locking the converter (turning the switch on) during the whole race gives them an improvement, but it might not be the best thing for the life of the clutch.
3. Not really, if you're driving slowly it'll just make the engine bog.

I assume you are talking about using the ALDL connector, right? If you leave the F terminal grounded, depending on the wiring, it will just come on as soon as it hits 2nd and you will lose torque multiplication, and thus performance, and if at WOT, likely your converter in short order.
With a normal 700 in a Camaro, the L/U will engage at WOT in 3rd gear at @75 MPH. Some like this and others don't. I guess you could try it and see what works best for you.
