removing b&m shift kit
removing b&m shift kit
i installed a b&m shift kit in my tranny. now my sunshell is broken. im having the 700 rebuilt at a local shop. what i need to know is this. im buying the trans-go kit, and i know when i installed the b&m i removed checkballs, took the springs out of the accumulators, and drilled holes in the separator plate. will i end up having to buy another separator plate, more check *****, and springs? what all is envolved in switching to the trans-go from the b&m?
It would be simpler to use a new/undrilled plate. Also I would get BOTH the TransGo Reprogrmming Kit AND Shift Kit as it will have everything needed that was tossed out with the B&M Non Shift Kit.

Sorry for sounds so "green", but there are two different kits? A reprogram kit AND a shift kit?
I was under the impression that they were the same thing.

Yes, the SK is meant for any tranny and it fies the common problems that they have such as sticky throttle valve and delayed pressure rise while the Reprogramming Kit does that and adds HP/HD capabilities. The 700 SK also includes shift timing poblems adn that is why it will include various missing parts.
