Hello all,
I just got finished installing a TCI 376015 full manual valve body in my 700R4. This valve body has engine braking, where as my previous one did not, and has not for a long number of years. As soon as I finally tested it, it seemed okay at first, but when I shift into gear it grinds and revs up and won't even budge unless it is under considerable revs. It feels as if there is a trans-brake on, or even just a strong parking brake for that matter. I can push it in neutral just fine. I can only assume that because my old valve body was not making use of engine braking for all those years, and years when it sat before I got it, that when pressure was applied to the overrun clutches after all this time from not being used, they just froze up. It is ridiculous I can't even move the car back into the garage because I'm afraid i will hurt something. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there some sort of additive that can break these things free?
Thank you all so much,
Fred
