I have an RS with the TBI 305 auto 700r4. the car ran and shifted great when I put it into storage last fall. Upon pulling is out storage this spring, I don't have 3-4 gears. And before anyone asks yes I checked all fluid levels and also reset the TV cable, and I also check line pressure. Now I know that the 3-4 gears dying is a common problem on the third gens. But it was like this as I pulled it out of storage. All of my research up to this point has pointed to a trans rebuild. Now I am not opposed to having it rebuilt, but I would prefer to put a th350/th400 into the car this would work better with the upcoming engine mods I have planned (carb conversion) but the problem I am having is locating either of the changeover kits that were produced by B&M or Hurst. Does anyone know what the alternatives are to these kits?

How exactly is making the car slower more suited to uour plans?

The 700-R4 works fine with carburetors. Get yours built instead of castrating your car by removing OD.
