Need A Recommendation For A New Clutch
OK, so the transmission is out of my car being rebuilt.
The Centerforce clutch and pressure plate in it have about 30,000 miles on them.
The disc has some wear, and the pressure plate seems kinda janky. Several of the arms are kinda loose. I'm going to go ahead and replace the clutch.
Looking for a good street clutch. What's a good one?

I have been really happy with my spec stage 1 except for the throwout bearing which made some bad noises after a couple thousand miles. Replaced it with a good Hays bearing and life is good. About $300 for the set.

Ebay it was this clutch
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPEC-SC191-S...VWxgGb&vxp=mtr
Then the hays self aligning throwout bearing was from summit I think.

Ram clutch here. No issues with it. I'm putting down around 400 ft lbs at the crank too.

Re: Need A Recommendation For A New Clutch
There are lots of good clutches out there,
Over the years though, I've had great experiences with SPEC. I had a Spec Stage 3 for YEARS in a 450hp setup in my car, and it probably had over 100 passes on it at the track, on slicks, before I changed it and went to a stage 3+. That clutch actually survived another few years of drag racing, including bumping up to a 900+ horsepower blown setup (where it is now), which was about double what that clutch should've been handling.
It finally came apart and it dropped out in 3 pieces (friction material, disc, friction materia ... rivets were disintegrated!).
I got a SPEC Twin disc to replace it and love it so far.
There was one time, I broke in a Stage 3 for 500+ miles, took it to the track and it welded itself to the flywheel on the first launch. I called SPEC and they replaced it, resurfaced my (non SPEC) flywheel, and shipped everything back and forth no questions, no problems. That's what sold me on them for the long haul. Good dudes.
