Re: t5 to t56 help
You need to verify the pushrod length and bore to answer your question.

Re: t5 to t56 help
The T-5 line isn't anywhere near long enough.
The T-56 stuff is just altogether better in every way. Lay them next to each other and look. I think the choice will be clear. Only problem will be, the eyelet on the master push rod doesn't fit the 3rd gen pedal stud right; and, the 3rd gen stud is too far from the pivot, which makes it stroke the master too far, which makes the pedal action kinda high.

Re: t5 to t56 help
I did this swap back in 2002 on a factory T5 car. You cannot use the T5 slave and master. Just go buy a brand new one from the dealer unless you can find a used one in great working condition. The one I bought from the dealer already had fluid in it and was ready to bolt right in.
I also used the 3rd gen pedals. I vaguely remember having to make some slight modification to the either the stud on the pedal or the eyelet on the rod. I think I also had to modify the retaining the clip. At the time I did the swap, not many guys here had done it. If I did the swap again, I would use 4th gen pedals.
