9 Bolt: Torco type G needed?

Hello everybody

I'm in the need of an advice about changing oil to my differential. I have a GTA so the 9 bolt. I was told to use something like 80w90, and maybe to add the TORCO Limited Slip DIFF G type.

Is the torco additive needed? Can I just use the 80w90?

thank you very much

I have always added the additive, even though I put Royal Purple in and they say it's not needed, why not, can only help. It's not really a big bottle anyway, so I think it's always a good idea.

The Torco TGO works best in the Borg Warner rear ends. This is the only oil that seems to work in the '04 to '06 GTO, which also has the Borg Warner. If you can find this oil I think you will like it.

You MUST use an additive. These diffs are very picky. I got tired of the foolishness and got a Torsen for mine. No way I would go back to the Auburn cone type. Total junk.

It's not bad if you are just doing the carrier and not the gears (you must already have 3 series gears) Takes about 3-4 hours I would say. Here's my thread:
