1982 BW Super T10 help
The shifter is sloppy in the '82. The gear linkages are tight on the transmission itself, so the problem has to be with the shifter. The shifter rests in neutral just under third gear, rather than first. Locating first will sometimes put me into reverse, so I believe the shifter bushings are shot. I can't find any information online regarding the factory bushings. Anybody know where I can get them?
I called multiple places, including the dealer and Eckler's, but nobody has anything for the stock shifter. It seems that everybody has plenty of T10 shifter parts for the Hurst Competition shifter, but that's not what the factory used.

Re: 1982 BW Super T10 help
There are, depending on transmission and shifter, detents, or soft stops to better ergonomicize shift gate and feel. I am pretty sure the fore / aft shift detents are done in the side cover / shift levers in the Super T10.
Unfortunately, I am not sure of how they may have done the detent for lateral feel in the T10 or it's shifter.
As for bushings, pull it and prepare to dig carve your own, if that is the issue.
