Ordered a Strange S60 today for my 1990 IROC with Wilwood brakes. A few questions
1. Will 16" iroc rims work with upgraded 1/2" wheel studs?
2. Did you get Powdercoating or paint it yourself?
3. I am also using a UMI torque are
4. Any install tips?
1/2" studs are almost the same size as the stock 12mm.
The wheel fitment depends more on the brakes.
Paint is easier to touch up and work around if you every need to change anything on the axle. Chassis paint will hold up just fine.
Remove old axle install new axle. Pretty straight forward swap really. However I would plumb the new brakes on the axle before installing it in the car. Also do this before painting so you cano lweld any clips to the axle to hold the brake lines

Thanks
1. Yup
2. POR-15
4. Better have the brakes figured out; Like Phil said, plumb before hand; bigger saddle clamps for sway bar to keep off of diff.
Thanks for the pics, do you either one of you know the dimension for a 1990 Camaro driveshaft to a 700r4? I will need to order one for the S60 and Strange sent me an email today that they do not know. I will be measuring it this weekend.
I got a s60 last fall. Such a easy install. I painted it myself with por15 and turned out great. That paint is more exspencive then normal spray paint but holds up well. 1 can was enough to do it 13 bucks a can iirc.
I used a umi tq arm. Tunnel mount style easy hook up. Also had the strange rear disk and 1/2×2 1/2 studs. Took about 2 or mabey 3 hrs to install it. Then another 2 hrs to adjust everything right.. drag bar, pan hard bar, lca, exc.
Awesome, thanks, did you have to trim the torque arm or it bolts right up? I have the same one. Also plan to use POR15, and good to know one can did it.

It bolted right up. Not one issue with rear end. It was like swapping out a 10 bolt for a 10 bolt. Litterly it was that straight forward. Only thing is the need for a shorter driveshaft/
Thanks, looks good. What transmission do you have? Do you know the length of the driveshaft?
I have a th350 and got a 39.375 inch driveshaft. I double checked the numbers before ordering but they do sell this d shaft on summitracing for 329 bucks.

And finally in the car, overall pretty straight forward install as mentioned by others. Still need to finish connecting brakes, and doing the fuel system.

Looks great. I'm glad it all went in very easily for you. Sometimes I find myself staring at the butt end of my car because it looks so nice just like yours lol
