1. After changing the transmission the gears shifts very quickly to third, maybe at 10-15 mph it's already on third. And because of that the acceleretian is very ppor. TV cable adjustment doesn't help in any direction. When I was attaching TV cable to the trans mount I felt it was a litte loose inside the tranny. So shuould I chcange TV valve in the trans or maybe whole valve body? Or something else?

I have the second unit so I can easily remove the valve or valve body, but will it help?

If I shift gears manually from 1 to 2 to 3 it accelerete much better but the gears seems very short and the tranny works very loud on higher rpms.


2. And the second issue. To drive out of garage I've always use reverse gear, but after starting cold, put in reverse and push the gas pedal nothing happens for about 3-5 second after thats works just fine.

Doesn't happend on hot engine. Is my torqe converter dying?

 

Check fluid level after it gets warm then readjust TV cable.

 

All correct, I'm driving like this for last couple months, checked oil levele several times and several times adjusted TV cable.

and one more thing, it doesn't downshift on the kickdown...

 

I don't know too much about autos, but it sounds like maybe the governor may need different springs?

 

Sticking shift valves maybe try fluid and filter change on trans

 

Maybe I will chanage governor from second trans. Can I do it with transmiision on the car?


Already done, doesn't help.

 

Find a member of the Independent Garageman's association that does Trans in your area and let them take a look.

 

I'm in Europe man, this transmissions are not so popular around here...

 

Over the weekend I've switched the entire valve body with all the valves and governor. Now it shifitng like a dream so I don't know excactly what was the issue. But at full throttle it's shiftig a little bit to late so should I push the TV cable back or pull it out a liitle bit?
