I have a 84 camaro with a mild built 327 not sure on trans yet at this moment either th350 or 400 just got the car a month ago ran and drove strong until last week was driving home and I didn't have all my gears meaning if I go slow it move but any kind of acceleration and it revs out in 1st 2nd or 3rd I have 456 gears in rear and that's all I know.
is it low on tranny fluid i put 3 quarts in still nothing there was no grinding or loud noises so I dont think its blown seeing as it still moves

Look at it and find out what transmission it REALLY is. Then we can go from there. Go here http://lmgtfy.com/?q=gm+automatic+tr...identification
Looking at the pan I can tell it's a th350, this couldn't be a kick down cable issue what are your opinions/solutions?
thanks

Rebuild
Probably a lip seal on the forward clutch piston
Last one I did, took about 2 hours on the tailgate of an El Camino
